William Beam

U.S. Army Veteran. Photography. Videography. Geographic Information Systems.

Born and raised in Rutherford County, North Carolina. I grew up on a 300 acre retired diary farm spending many hours outside helping with farming, hunting, or camping. Through my experiences I’ve established a strong connection and appreciation for the nature around us. That connection has persisted throughout my travels of going to NC State University, serving in the US Army as a Cavalry Scout, and being the best husband I can to my wonderful wife Hannah. Sharing my experiences through photography has only strengthened my appreciation of nature and has lead to expanding my creative outlets to include videography.

Professionally, I enjoy utilizing and sharing the powers of GIS. My first experience with GIS was at NC State University while studying Parks and Recreation as an undergrad. During my time in graduate school, I earned a graduate certificate of GIS and pursued a career in the field where I work today.
